Nope, there's still a decent gap when I move 5mm past full compression on the old shock, and there's also the backup of swapping from 2.25 to 2.1 tires which would give me a bit more clearance on the FD too.

Double checked and all looks fine, shock has a clear path and nothing else in the way until the tire hits the frame

I can't see anything that would foul the shock on the travel, and I get 137mm as the shortest shock length before the back tire would hit the frame. Anything else to look for?

You lose on weight and can't run as low a pressure with slimed tubes. If you do want to do it you can get the cores out of the normal valves, or just need the widget or really pointy pliers to do it
