What did you do TO / WITH / FOR your bike today!

It's Not Easy Being Green
Headed out to Forrest. First side was Red Carpet then headed over to the Yaughter end. Finished up at the brewery with a couple of beers and a burger.

The trails were running really nicely, pity about my bike. Crappy brakes and squeaking like a mofo... Still a good ride though! :)

Helped out at the Kalamunda social ride today, with a bit of trailing and leading the beginners group. Hadn’t sorted the main bikes tyres so rolled on the Inbred rigid 26er.

Turned up really early and managed to sneak in about 10km beforehand, and then the group did a slow 12km.

@Rorschach and I had a side bet on who could launch the lowest off a jump at the end. Waiting for photos to pick a winner there.

Got out for the monthly Kalamunda MBC social ride after getting a pass from the wife, and met my first irl burner in @ashes_mtb and stuck myself in the beginner group, mainly as I am suuuuper unfit and cannot climb a hill to save my life
Had a fiddle with a few things last night and the Prime seems a bit more settled on the flats and the downs but need to do a few more til I’ll be happy.
Slogged/walked up some of the hills and was shown a few shortcuts to help me out next time!
Someone took some photos of one of the jumps so would be interested to see if I actually got some air time…
Great morning out, solid crew, some good chat. I’ll be back.
Nice to see the Banshee. First time I’ve seen a raw version of the latest model - absolute bike porn.

I'm liking that trail report! Come hell or busted shoulder I'll be down there at the end of the month!

The hardest bit is looking like you’re trying to launch and actually just roll it.

Its a stunner of a frame, shame the pilot doesn’t get anywhere near its capabilities!
Felt better today than it has though

his flabber is totally gastered
By the way, just checked, and it's been 16 weeks since I last did this.

Quite miraculous that I didn't kill myself. But I was following Wendy, so although I got to hit the jumps that she circumvented, it still kept my speed at a sensible level.

Yeah, looks like I’ll hold 4th. Exceeded expectations. Feeling like I could do the course again. Stoked with that.
Nice work mate. I did the race too and finished with 22min. Blew my tubeless out and heavily dented my rim in practice on wishing well a couple hours before the Saturday stage 1. Did a moi moi and straightened up the dents as much I could with a few bangs, put a tube in and babied it for stage. Trued it up pretty good sat night then wishing well strikes again on race day and I get a flat half way down :D another tube, CO2 and a heap of hand pumping and rolled flow town to make sure I could make the big finish on thunderbolt and it got the job done!

Was a great day out with a super friendly bunch, looking forward to the next round at Mt Beauty. It was my first race since the 2013 Cape to Cape (and most of that time been off the bike) so super happy just to finish. Now I just need to find a decent rim in stock before I’m on the ferry to Tassie on Saturday…

It's a wonder you still remember how to turn and brake.
Better train up if you're going to be on Tour guide duties in early March.

Super effort, mate.
Blew me away with a flat and 10 years off racing. Ouch.
What’s up with the times now? The updated final results don’t include the Urban.
I gave my tube and pump to a dude on second stage…said to find me at the end to return pump…he never did. I loved that pump.
Great weekend though. Beauty is my fave, can’t wait, come say hi.

Haha nah I’m 22min without the urban (like your screenshot), urban time was 4min from memory so 26min all up. Nearly got you on big fella though :p Will keep an eye for you next round

No social media page to ask on ?

Score, engrave or sticker your gear with mobile number and name.

I used to engrave multitools but haven't in recent years... I feel inspired to engrave the fleet.

Sweet. I love Big Fella….just can’t commit to hitting the flat out rocky section as fast as I’d like. Love it though. Fave stage.
Beauty is raw AF, fantastic tracks, tougher both up and down. Can’t wait.

Basically everything in between the North and South Carpark , So Fall line, Wonga, Pins and Needles, Wombat etc.... I ended up riding Sawtooth and Charlottes on the Seawinds side, and then Deadwoods/Crits and did a lap of Eatons.
I think the course is slightly different tommorow, but still all the main tracks being used.
Also didn't check the memo and rocked up bright and early to the race yesterday. Luckily less was closed off. Fall Line was pretty brutalised though, stuff over the other side (Deadwoulds / Crits) was in much better shape.

Also watched a bit of the XC racing. Holy shit those guys and girls are fit. Punching mid-range gears up climbs I'm normally spinning up on the pizza plate. Slowly.
