It is great story. I am only out to do the well rated classics now since I never put enough time into this time eating hobbie as I would like.

HL2 is masterpiece but looks old now with yesteryear's graphics so easy for the ray trace loving young 'uns to over look.
So I did something dumb over the weekend and looked up some gameplay videos of Black Mesa (the Half Life 1 remake using the HL2 source engine but substantially updated). Holy freaking crap it looks insane, huge update of the original game in both story and gameplay, and the Xen chapter is nuts - used some ultra version of the game engine Valve provided the designers with, and features Vortigaunt villages, huge factories for the Grunts, and a massive Gonarch battle. I think I need a new gaming PC.

It does look pretty great. I would like to give it a go one day but my list of shame is already big enough. I'd need a new PC to do any recent releases and have gotten to like the plug and play of console. A consoles are the eBike of the gaming world

NB: Doh! Spellchecker went to town on that post.

Saw those screenshots and the theme music INSTANTLY inserted itself into my head. All three bars of it. Awesome.

That game was so cool playing two player. I remember those whip enemies being pretty irritating though.
I especially like two player because you can beat the crap out of each other lol

I'm still witchering, but on the way to finishing the last DLC.

To replace the Geralt sized hole in my life I picked up The Last of Us.

Before that though I will finish Bruz Eternal, I want that BFG so I can hear the music (apparently is pretty good)
Pondering if I should do the Last of Us or Metal Gear Solid V next. I haven't hit the console *that* much lately but am getting to the end of Doom.
Big barrages of micro missiles is just so satisfying.

They are re-releasing MGS 1-3, named as the Master collection, not sure whats new but might be worth checking out.

If anyone else has a PS5 I would be interested in swapping games/purchasing anything you may have completed, probably a better option than the trade ins at EB games

After slaying all the monsters, losing many games of Gwent and wrangling numerous wenches, Geralt now rests atop a mountain in Skellige, watching a thunderstorm.

And now for Bruz Eternal, such a different pace, trying to re-learn all the weapons and mods. And the music - could become my pre-ride / surf amp go to.

No matter how many times I save the world, it always needs re-saving.

The sexy sequences in the Witcher III wild hunt remind me of Tommy Wiseau's robotic bonking in The Room.
Yet the Witcher scenes look far more realistic...

black friday sales on, time to finally buy the sim rig. 15% off seems a good time to buy

i already work with triple screens so wondering if its practical to get a cabinet maker to put together a desk top with a slide out C shaped section that the monitors sit on. for regular use it sits back with the keyboard in the middle, for racing it slides forward so the rig can sit in the cut out section. 2 side monitors would sit out in front of the desk. It should balance ok as main monitor would still sit above the desk top, just need a decently weighted material for the desk itself

Went to pick up ghostwire: tokyo at eb games yesterday (discounted to $28), and was told that all games purchased from eb that is part of the christmas sale can be returned up until 31/1 next year if you "change" your mind. The rep said it sarcastically, so I think I know what he meant.

Bought ghostwire (in-store) and resident evil 5 (online). So we'll see if I "change" my mind by the end of Jan next year.

This has been my earworm lately, also the 1 hour cultist base makes a good headphone vibe when scrolling.

Wife mentioned the flight sticks haven't been used in a while so dug them out and the kid is happily blasting away in a spitfire. According to steam we haven't played these games since the first lockdown. Nice to dig into the games library sometimes.
My Gaming wheel has been gathering dust, and I have WRC 9 still in the factory wrapping. Time for some Mad Skidz :)
