Cheers mate. The light was pretty mint this morning, mostly clear with just a little fine high cloud.Lovely shot!
Water has dropped around 60cm, but still plenty about!

That's like some of my rides, the sun really heats the concrete paths up after midday, but still better than not riding at all.Just got back from a no dirt ride. Damn hot now. Note to self: Summer mornings is the way.
Add in the headwinds that always show up in the afternoon. That's like some of my rides, the sun really heats the concrete paths up after midday, but still better than not riding at all.
Yeah, there's been some strong winds here too, I've never noticed them so bad at this time of the year. There's a big descent on my way home across a bridge, and you got to lean into the wind, or it pushes you into the side of the handrailing.Add in the headwinds that always show up in the afternoon.
Still a good idea to go for a ride though but falls a bit short of a great idea
Easily the best riding / trails I've ever experienced. And they get better in the rain strangely enough.
Handlebar at Stromlo was a stroke of genius. Big fan of a toastie and pint after a rideAnother one easing back in. Did a decent pace and 9km without stopping. Last km or two before Handlebar I had about 19psi in the rear, lost a bit somewhere. Filled up on air and beer at Handlebar and proceeded home.

Looks AMAZINGRotorua.
I rode Cascades for the first time on Saturday. I’d heard about the climbing and I’m used to a bit of pedalling but it was the downs that slayed me. Maybe it was the lack of travel, maybe the lack of talent. Forearms and ankles were wrecked. Thank duck for the Duck Inn and the good medicineSmashed out Cascade with a few mates. Great conditions for it.

Go ride the trails on the lynmore side. No shuttle, but the best downs in the forest.Rotorua. I thought I knew what hero dirt was. I did not.
Yeah, it def feels like more than 30km and 550 odd metres of elevation by the time you’ve finished. That downs take as much energy as the ups (or more) but it’s such a fun and varied trail.I rode Cascades for the first time on Saturday. Oh I’ll certainly give it another crackYeah, it def feels like more than 30km and 550 odd metres of elevation by the time you’ve finished. That downs take as much energy as the ups (or more) but it’s such a fun and varied trail.
BTW - I think it gets easier the second time as you are mentally prepared for it.
