We were going to be half way to the Otways by now until a friend of ours going down this morning rang and said she could see flames from the highway.

There were helicopters everywhere heading towards Beaufort.
The wind is dying down but the area that's burning is heavily forested and very very dry.

We have had a couple days that have been a bit too hot to ride though.
