Oh yeah, i ran some cheapie Crossrides for years on the old hardtail, they were bombproof too. I must be doing it wrong...

I've heard if you're a bit bigger the rim flexes and the spoke can just pop out because of the open slot in the hub. Bit of a design flaw I think, probably why they are still on clearance at pushys.

They were heavy, but the cross rides were good to me, and they got a pounding on the hardtail at stromlo. Im not super light at 75kg, cracked 80 with the beer belly before the accident...
