Microshift are about the same price but ever so slightly heavier.

I run 11 speed and can’t deal with a 37T on my local. It does my head in being that little bit harder than a 40t.Box 3

Yeah nah sorta kinda. They are pretty similar. Less of a jump across the mid range with Microshift 9 speed, bar the last 2.
They probably assume most riders spend most of their time using the mid range gears and the granny gear is for occasional use.
