Australia Post, I hate you!

can't divert to post office for pickup via App? then can pick up within a week...
better than postie leaving package on top of my fence :)
from the AusPost app, when you are watching that tracking number, hit redirect button...
seems you can redirect to any post office or parcel locker (there are probably some distance restrictions).. set up and save, so is easy to do each time.

I almost always redirect parcels to an LPO that is a couple of suburbs away, but has much better opening hours :)
(delivery subs totally ignore the signature requirement anyway, since covids.. so it means nothing now)

You have to show ID that matches the name that the package is being delivered to for that to work. The package isn't being sent to me by name, so I can't even do that.

Turns out that I didn't have to worry, I could have just relied on Ausposts' incompetence!

Package has gone Bris-Syd-CBR-Syd-CBR. Still hasn't been delivered.

Silly me, thinking that it would arrive when they said it would.

They really are so ultimately fucking shit.

I feel like you should be able to scan your FlyBuys card when they finally deliver and claim the points from all that travel...

I think my pushys order has been jinxed by this thread...

Oh look, they've updated the tracking. Apparently it didn't go back and forth to Sydney, it's just been sitting at Fyshwick since Wednesday last week.

But don't worry, the automated phone system tells me that it's still on track to be delivered on time!!

Move over the Border to Dreambeyan, or Wamboin. Ace postie with no problems here, loaded day it lands in Fyshwick as long as before 5am at the sorting facility. Friend over in Waniassa gets the stuck at depot for at least a few days, must be the politician tax, sit on it talk about it then deliver it later.

Now they just need to make "couldn't be arsed" an official non-delivery reason :)

Which i'm ok with...
"Non-deliv: CBA. left it at post office for you to pick up at your convenience"
I have been lucky with deliveries and they make an effort to deliver or hide it somewhere.

I gave up a while ago and started using the 24/7 parcel lockers.
Means I have to leave the house :p

I had one recently. Email said the delivery was not delivered.
Post office didn't know anything about it. Delivery guy dropped it off at the PO while I was there.
4 hours later the delivery was carded....

Maybe the delivery subbie put the card in the bike-posties bag to deliver?

"Not my job to deliver mail/cards, just packages" :D

Ordered a new frame from Zee Germans on 14/09/2023. Made it to Melbourne on the 5th of this month, and was scanned into "customs processing" on the 8th.

Having heard nothing from anyone, I rang AusPost on the 20th. AusPost said it's not with them yet because it's still waiting on customs. Gave me a customs reference number and their number to call. Customs/"Border Force" denied any knowledge of having it despite refusing to take any of A) my details, B) my parcel's details, or C) the reference number AusPost gave me (I tried 3 times over 24 minutes of mostly being on hold to supply it to them), and then said "it'll still be in the hands of the shipping courier" and "other than that we don't know anything". DHL Express in Melbourne said it's not their tracking number, it's DHL eCommerce's. Rang them and despite it being tenth business day since it was last scanned, they said "they normally take 8-10 days to clear customs, and couldn't start an enquiry until then". When I pointed out it was ten business days since it last scanned, they told me I'd have to call back Monday when the 10th business day was complete. Went to the local post office* and checked for any parcels/documentation/customer paperwork (checked the P/O box and then double-checked at the counter to ensure that there was nothing else). Called DHL eCommerce back Monday and got told because it was over 10 business days that I couldn't start an enquiry as I'm only "the receiver", and the shipper would have to lodge it. Contacted Zee Germans, who said they'll lodge a case - but not to expect a quick response from DHL. So today (27th), I finally received the customs paperwork (*[EDIT] from a different post office, but with the envelope dated back from when it was scanned in on the 12th). Submitted the customs form via e-mail, and quickly received a response back from them telling me to attach the letter from AusPost. I responded with the same document initially supplied reattached and a message to check the final page of it. And so the wait goes on...

Should've got @ozzybmx to order it for me. It would've arrived a month ago and skipped customs altogether! :p

Would have been air dropped to your house as the plane flew over. That’s crap. Hope it’s sorted soon and we have another PYR to ogle.

It'll be great bike, and luckily I have a sweet (although quite different) bike up an running in the meantime. It just baffles me how AusPost/freight companies are so shit at this stuff.
