Are cyber attacks the new trendy thing? So the last 2 weeks:

Email from Optus - your drivers licence has been exposed get a new one.
Email from Medibank - we had some data compromised, we will let you know more soon
Email from My deal - had to check this one but bought in-laws refurbed phones from here. Name and address have been accessed.

Optus have given me a code for 12 months credit monitoring with Equifax but read they got hacked a few years back as well. Good times!!

Fuck Optus is a pack of chunts, the number of times I've been charged an overdue fee, now who's going to pay me to waste half a day renewing my driver's license?

I asked about compensation for taking time off work to get a new licence. We may offer a credit on your account- but I don’t have an active account with you. Didn’t get a reply.

Took a week to clear the Ireland jet lag while over there.

Now wide awake at 3am on my first day back, had a catch up with news and shit on my phone for an hour or so... no chance of more sleep.

Brekky time

Fun times :) It’s aLways tougher going back to Oz…
Faaarkk yeah !

Its the 5th time I have done the flight back here after getting un-Australianised, going to be a few days of this ahead.

Brekky was different though. Lacking my Irish fry, no soda and potato bread or black and white pudding this morning, back to ham on croissants

I get into Melbourne at midnight and not flying to Hobart until 8.20 the next morning… I’d like to hope I jsut sleep through that, but I doubt it… Yay, another hotel room to kill time in…

I paid a lot more than I could have to get the shortest flight time available, which shot me in the foot when the plane was delayed in Melbourne. I hate waiting on planes.

Would be good if you could get 5-6 solid hours sleep in the Melbourne hotel, that could set you up for a good day when you get home to Hobart.

Yeah, might try and stay awake on the Dubai- Melbourne haul and try to arrive exhausted! Late booking so i couldn’t get the window seat that’s against the window, but the one that’s against the aisle. So not much privacy and I’ll get woken every time anyone walks past… Oh well. Maybe I’ll jsut hang out at the bar :)

Emirates go to Perth - not better to go that way and onto radelaide?

Up until corona, Emirates flew direct from Dubai to Adelaide.

The wait in Perth was 7 hours but it still takes 4 hours to get to Sydney after you enter Australia up around Port Hedland doing ~1000kph, added to the flight time from Perth to Adelaide, flying via Sydney was about 3 hours quicker. We flew over Adelaide at about 4:30am on the way to Sydney, didn't get back there till 10am.

Hoping when things get back to they way they were, which will take a while, Emirates will fly from Adelaide again, making it a 2 flight trip.

That's the reason why I fly into Dublin and not Belfast, as getting to Belfast requires flying via London and another stop/wait.

You could just hang out in the terminal...that'd be fun? Or fly your special lady over and not sleep at the hotel. Or go to the casino and win big. There's so many fun options...
