No but you will have the pleasure of photographing Marcus Fairbanks as he is going, so is Matt Currie i believe.

In other news flickr is being a bitch to me so i could only upload one photo from a shoot i did with a model down at Parkdale beach last month, here it is C&C would be nice. Oh and there's more to come once flickr stops being stupid.

I think if this was framed slightly higher it would be a much better shot. This might sound funny but I am left wanting to see slightly more of her body for it to feel complete. Sky is slightly blown but if shot on digi can be fixed, but make sure you keep the shiny look of her hair though (the look I presume you were going for :) )

Nice job though!

No, it can't. Blown sky on digi = blown sky. Sure, you can photoshop in a sky, but that's not really "fixing" it...

Hey snobbers, just filling out my details for media accreditation @ Stromlo World Champs.

I have a question regarding a proffesional card. Basically... What the hell is it? I dont need the whole spiel regarding the fact that its nigh on impossible as a freelancer to get accreditation, as Im entering as a part of Clicked Media (yes we have and abn number). Is it just a business card, or am I way off?

Cheers.

Nice X, great to see you got another Big Hit!

HDR from this arvo, first attempt. A lot harder than I thought, perhaps a little baked but happy for first go.

It's not blown out in the original, i just made it that way becuase the sky looked terrible so i wanted to change it.

Oh and Sam it's pretty good for the first try.

Hmm, so basically if I pay $200 to get an emerging membership, Im all good for a proffessional card and in turn a media pass?

I love it how all you have to do to be a proffessional is pay a fee:p

There are dedicated Tilt shift lenses, but they are very specialised and expensive. Many people try to replicate the effect in photoshop using the blur tool.
Have a look on the net for some tutorials, they're quite easy.

This makes me angry/sad. (Sam's our photoG for worlds by the way).

I find it odd how just having a video camera (which is probably much more of a hassle than a normal camera) means you get through no hassles (sort of) however soon as you want to take a still shot you need to pay hecktic fees for everything.

Grrrrrrr.

Went for a stroll in my backyard and found these two going at it. When I took a few photos they got shy and moved about 3cm apart:p It's mega cropped but I'm pretty happy with the quality.

Way off, More along the lines of being a member of known Photographic Institute. i.e. AIPP.
I think they'd even laugh at that. AIPP = lovely sticker.

Ask Getty, they should have a few spots for the weekend!

Heads up as well bro's. Might have some Canon gear for sale real soon - including a couple of bodies and some lenses. Getting stuff prepared for now, but if you're in line for some upgrades... keep an eye on this space. I won't reveal what's for sale and when just yet, but a few of you may know what's in my bag and can educate a guess. I've got to plan this well to not be out of a kit, so I'll be in touch.

The latter is rapidly becoming the 'new' HDR though unlike just wacking it in Photomatix, it requires a bit more playing. Effects can be amazing though, especially on city-scapes that are made to look minature.

Saw this chat on tilt shift and had never heard of it, had a little over see of the internet and thought it looked pretty sweet, which made me think perhap sI should have a crack, slightly suprised at how it went, perhaps a more interesting subject next time would be good, bu tbesides that I think the effect is really cool :)

Also 400D - $60? stealathon
