Yep, the really annoying thing is the central story is quite good and has a pretty good twist (imo), it's just the way of telling it is so ridiculously convoluted you have nfi what's going on. It was a rushed production and it really shows unfortunately.

Watch S3 - much slower pace, much closer to S1. Believable action set pieces too.

Next you’ll be saying “the matrix revolutions” was good.

True detective only shot one season, the sooner everyone learns to accept this fact, the sooner life can return to normal

Sexy Beast - good show, UK gangster stuff, well written, looks great.
The Gentlemen - similar to the above, Guy Ritchie and works well.
Screw - UK prison show. We enjoyed it, very accurately depicts screw interaction with crims IMO

Went out for Monday Doubles last night for a friend's birthday. The invite was for the first film but I hung around for the second too.

Old Boy (올드보이) real good Korean action thriller. I went in cold which I think was the best way to do it.
Talk to Me I don't usually go for horror but I wasn't even aware of what the film was going to be when I sat down for it. It was a pretty good ride.

Tusk about a guy who gets turned into a Walrus, a little bit gory but an interesting story line. Like Hostel I guess but another flavour, IE rich dude who can do what he wants.

Netflix version visually fairly impressive not true to book but thats OK and some technical things arent explained that well.

Started well and ended up turgid.
Was disappointed by the end with the romantic sub plots and the one bad actor, that wooden over acting American woman
