Also, Israelis have been annexing Palestinian land for Israeli 'settlements', to the point that there is hardly any Palestinian land left.

The Palestinian 'forces' are a militia, at best. They have no airforce, no heavy artillery apart from some surface to surface short range rockets, no armoured mechanised divisions. The Israelis are going to slaughter what's left of the Palestinian people.

That was my initial thought too but the unprecedented uselessness of Israeli intelligence in the lead up to the attacks on Saturday is possibly the biggest failure in the country's history.
