Its a bit out of your way but there is a costume shop on the corner of Crown Street and Cleveland Street in Surry Hills. Has a wide range of the usual suspects if you don't find anything else. Its diagonally opposite the Crown hotel on the first floor above the Turkish restaurant.

Personally I'd love to go to a party as Orgazmo or Choda Boy but it might offend a few people.
