To be fair, Buxton is a tough 6-hour.-used to do the Buxton 6h most years. Fun trails...for about 4h then pain.

It’s the only one I’ve ever done, so I’ll take your word. Had my biggest ever single day there, with about 95km and 2500 climbing....and was lapped many times by fitter riders (yourself and @cul baire come to mind). To be fair, Buxton is a tough 6-hour.
Dang. Nail Can/Cairn (depending who writes it) would be brutal! I love the place...I’ll be racing there in a few weeks....but would be a brutal 6hThe thing with Buxton is that compared to other 6-hour courses there is very little opportunity for a feed or mental break mid-lap. Most other courses have a little bit of firetrail in the mix, so you can grab a gel or bar & a drink to keep the fuel topped up, and rest the brain just a bit; Buxton doesn't have that. Only one I'd rate harder is Nail Can in Albury.
Are you wearing overalls?I was definitely just trail riding with a set distance. View attachment 375041
