The left wouldn't be happy with either of the 2 candidates. Hillary was less likely to have catastrophic consequences. Whereas Trump is likely to make a very feudal mess of things.

Building the wall and having Mexico pay for it. Mexico predictably refuses to pay so Trump says he'll implement at tariff on Mexican products. The end result is that lower-socioeconomic bracketed folk in the US will pay more for their cheap Mexican products and American will pay for "the wall".
These are just three points where I'd question the courage of his convictions as a politician.
I think you might be displaying the same biases that you are attacking here. There is a huge section of the right that are just as upset and howling as there is with the the left...., if you're even willing to still buy into the silly Right vs Left thing.
Again, I think you need to be a little more details focused on the way you view things. Much of what is being claimed by the Trump admin was already in the pipeline and is simply being rebranded as a Trump achievement. Plus, we're only at the talking stage yet and will be for a long time, no actual raise in defence spending has bee realised, it's all still just promises.
The system was so fucked in the US, as it is here, that people wanted to buy his promises, just as they did Obama's Hope and Change. Trump is as much part of the system as the politicians, he IS a beltway bandit. Also, keep in mind that it wasn't that he pulled a lot of America out to vote for him, his numbers were less than what McCain and Romney won against Obama. It's that nobody voted for Hillary.
To think that the majority of people voted for Trump because of his veiled racist policies, his sexism, his tough on terror platform and all that is a mistake. People voted for him mostly because they didn't see him as a politician and because of the "drain the swamp" policy. I am yet to see anything that supports that platform.
My prediction is that he will go the way of Obama in that he will fail to achieve the majority of his domestic agenda and he will be led by global events. I fear that a real international crisis like that with DPRK, China or Russia will end up in him not having the bottle to make the big calls and make the well and I see him blaming everyone else (such as Hillary, the media and judges) as being against him and that's why his domestic agenda will largely remain unsatisfied.

ATM, one of the main reasons I'm happy over the Trump election is because I hate lefties and Libtards with a burning passion, and their lamentations are like music, and their tears as sweet as late harvest wine!

I see little to no difference between the whiney left and the virulent right. They both go off and have superiority complexes, I find them difficult to tell apart based on behaviour.

Before Obama's 8 years was 8 years of Republicans. Before Hollande was Sarkozy. The LNP have been running the sho....., have been in control of parlia...., have been in government for the last couple of years. The UK have been a conservative govt sine 2010. Russia has been under a conservative govt for over a decade. Previous to the current govt Canada had a conservative govt for successive terms. The Philippines are under an extreme conservative govt. Japan has only had one break in conservative govt for successive decades. China's govt has been progressively more conservative since the death of Mao - a slow change but a rightward change none the less.
Is your position that any stretch of left-leaning govt is far too long?

Trump is an enigma certainly not a standard Republican free market thinker.ie cancelling TPP ,protecting US industry but is reactive and unlikely to reverse the income divide between the rich and poor by reducing regulation and taxes.
I had hopes for Turnbull but they havent delivered.
Now he is stuck with only a 1 seat majority and George Christensen can call his bluff.
Maybe progressive and reactive/conservative are useful.
