Good lord, this whole website is turning into a 90s music nostalgia love-in.

I saw the prodigy live twice in the 90s. The first time was mind blowing. The second time was just after fit of the land, so they were suddenly one of the biggest bands in the world and on the main stage at the big day out in the afternoon. I think being outdoors and in daylight their performance suffered a little.

all people had to do was stick with either libs or labor and one of these parties would get up with a majority, albeit maybe a slim one but nah lets give the greens 3 seats and give a near 7 percent+ swing to lambie network.

Minority government means no one wants the top two on their own and none of the minors can do the job either. So the majors should not bemoan their poor showing but work out what it is they have to change to properly represent the majority of voters. The LNP and conservative parties world wide seem to think this means going further right. And so do labor. Conservatives in the UK are about to have an arse pummeling. Hopefully the same in the USA though with their whacked religious groups that is unlikely as long as that side of politics panders to the oppression of women and minorities.

Frankly most of the candidates for the two majors are a bunch of arsehats so I get why Taswegians are looking for alternatives. I also don't understand why there's this idea in Australia that minority governments are bad, they seem to manage just fine with them in Europe. Of course in a minority government you have to be an adult and listen to other points of view which I guess would be a challenge for most self promoting pollies

Why would people vote for a party that they don't want, though? Isn't it the Lib and ALP's fault if people aren't voting for them, rather than the voter's fault?

To avoid situations exactly like this. Minority governments are never a good thing and I hate rebecca white and labor and rockcliff has absolutely ruined this state.

I don't trust greens but i did give a look in on on the independants but nah they dont sound good.

I ended up disgustingly voting for labor.

Wasn’t there some statistic from Gillard’s minority govt that they passed more legislation than any other?

Negotiation should be part and parcel of government.
