lol did they go back to the incorrectly delivered address, retrieve and then resend it?
Yeah twice, this was the second package!

Even the customer service people on the phone said it was embarrassing how bad this was.

The packages showed up with handwritten redirect addresses and nothing covering the machine readable barcodes so my guess is the automated sorting kept trying to send it back.

Oh yeah we explained the concept of mail redirection to them and they recognised that this isnt how its supposed to work.... then they shrugged and said "what can we do".

They did give us an extra month of redirection for free which made me laugh. I then explained to the nice but simple person that it was worthless if they didnt actually redirect the mail.

Why would you provide updates...... <sigh> FFS it's only Ballarat to Bendigo - I'm sweating on this part and really need it (Bit needed for bike rack that broke) or else I need to figure another way of getting 5 bikes to the race tonight

with 20/20 hindsight, next time, spending the petrol on a drive to ballarat and back (or whereever ) might be a good investment, if something's time critical. the post seems like a roll of the dice these days.

has some good things to say
I just got a parcel from interstate within 48 hours.

What's going on?
To balance the Force, I received a parcel today that left Melbourne on the 3rd May. And has so many depot stickers on it that it's embarrassing. It's a wonder anyone could Cope. Australia Post was not involved.

It's Not Easy Being Green
I had a package delivered by a fellow burner the other day to work. There were a few issues...

Package with no real name, towels and string sticking out of a dodgy taped package that's falling apart, metal canister thingy inside.

Someone eventually put things half together to twig it might be mine and called me to check. "Oh, that's good we can call off the bomb squad then." :p

What I'm hearing is that your workmates thought there may be a bomb so asked you to open it
