Thanks for all the bananas
I really should start a proper wheels thread, I bet I already have...
Will be 36 or 54t. Quoted price is pretty good, and a wheelset that will last a lifetime and always have spares available.Confirmed, DT Comp spokes too. Also can get a good price on 56T(?) ratchet.
56T have a reputation on the internet of being made from butter - Yet any one I know and have asked about them have never had an issue - Sooooo ./shrugConfirmed, DT Comp spokes too. Also can get a good price on 56T(?) ratchet.
Start one so I can hijack it with my own...I really should start a proper wheels thread, I bet I already have...

Because decent used bikes in XL sizing are like hen's teeth. Plus with the vast majority of bikes up until a year or two ago, the XL sizes were more like a large with a longer-than desirable seat-tube. Low supply, high demand, bugger all new options. We all know this story by now...Why are large sized folk tightarses?
All the medium size bikes seem to be coming back down to earth but large size bikes are being hoarded like mad, or they want covid tax x2.
Wish I could say the same thing. My red Hopes are still red, front hub is 10 yrs old! They get lighter with age.
They're a bluey kind of blue, match the Fox logo. Lighter than Chris King blue. While we are mentioning Hope is their current blue a darker blue or lighter blue? Photos look to be on the darker side?
I guess in time we shall know for sure!Just floating rotor things. Shimano floating jobbies don’t warp much because they aren’t “proper” floating rotors. The pins are too tight.
I measured two new rotors as well, mine were purchased not long after the Cura 4's were released IIRC, maybe they thickened them up after that?Mine were definitely thicker than 2mm, they read 2mm now after a year of running metal pads.
Sorry, just checked again, look like 1.9mm, verniers must have moved as I removed them from the rotor.I measured two new rotors as well, mine were purchased not long after the Cura 4's were released IIRC, maybe they thickened them up after that?
Yup, floating rotors look better.I guess in time we shall know for sure!
