Whats the funniest thing you have found on a trail?

I just started a ride yesterday arvo when I spot an old man walking down the trail with a plastic shopping bag full of cans, unusual but not way out there. Old fella hails me down and the alarm bells start going off when he says 'where am I?' So I start talking to him and it doesn't take long to realise that the chap has Alzheimer's. So I think 'fuck what to do?' No chance of riding on as all I got were visions of him stumbling around in the bush all night. So I got him to realise my car wasn't far and that I would take him home but old mate could not remember where home was and he said he'd lost his wallet a few days earlier, fuck! So there is nothing for it, off to the cop shop I says which o'l mate was not keen on. Got him in there and his daughter had already called and put in a report. Apparently he left home approx 9am and I found him at 4, fuck knows how far he walked but as the crow flys he was about 12klms from home. He was 87 and nice bloke.

So yeah, I found an old man on the trails! lol!

Wow. Good on ya mate. Hat's off for helping the old codger.
I work for Older Persons Mental Health and Dementia and I hear stories like this all the time.
Poor bugger.
On the bright side, at least he gets to hide his own easter eggs.

Thanks gang was a bit of an adventure but there was only one option. I thought I might have been in good stead for a top 5 but after reading the last few pages, wow. A 3mtr bully? Now that's top 5. Just goes to show eh!

A bush covered in literally thousands of green iridescent beetles.

When I clipped aforementioned bush going a good pace downhill there was a bug explosion, covering me head to toe in beetles.

Not exactly in the trail. Bruce ridge on the paved cycle way jusr before the trail starts, lady riding a vespa scooter on the bike path!

A middle aged couple that jumped up in a startled manner when they heard me coming. The funny thing was that they said, "we are just having a rest. How far is it to the top?". They were only about 100m from the start of the climb and 1km plus to the top. I think they were doing more than just having a rest.

Came across my first fire road bong smokers today. Gave them a smile on the way past, had a chuckle to myself but the novelty wore off a bit when they drove past, back towards town, as I was chucking the bike in the Ute, not a great thought that they're on the roads with the rest of us.
