What wildlife, dangerous or random thing you have found whilst riding along trails?


Yesterday Lleyt0n and i were riding along the commuter path when we both
nearly ran over a duckling:eek:. Lleyt0n scooped up the duckling and handed it to a local who would take care of it!:D

about 2 months ago I also ran into a big brown snake along a trail that runs along a creek:eek: lets just say I went back up the trail at light speed!

There was some type of sexually explicit device across the road from the finish line of a North QLD downhill track last year. Read a massive dildo at mt stuart.

On the way home from a ride, my mate and I found a turtle in the middle of a gravel carpark. We took it home, put it in the bath, and then later relocated it to a nearby pond. :) We got some very strange looks from the locals!

I had a native rat run across at great speed in front of me - only really funny when I was imaging him and his mates waiting for a mtb to play chicken with...

However, the truly strangest thing I have come across was the yacht (about 25-30 foot I would guess), towards the end of the Highland Fling. Very odd find so far from the water, and I am sure messed with a few heads so late in the game (lucky I was a half-flinger and still thinking ok)....

hahahaha i once also seen a turtle, on a foot path but, i thought it was like a massive palm tree/banana leaf. scared crap out of me.

kinda like somes ones sig a whle ago, about the turle that looked like a kicker, he was sad when it moved, was a sweet line.

yeah it was worse for me, i was riding down a trail a kangaroo was standing right in the middle of the track i kept pedaling thinking it would move....it didn't i slammed on the brakes it stood their for 5 seconds then bounced away

an opened porn magazine with a giant turd laid in the middle of it. didn't stop to work out whether the turd was from man or beast. sure was a big poo though...

I occasionally ride at Thredbo. This year I chased a bunny down the track through a few corners before he jumped off the track. On the following trip I encountered another bunny going up the track, Lets just say a head on between a bunny and a Glory Dh was not so good for the bunny.
