Rode the ebike to a mates for beers yesterday then commuted to work today with Mrs. Her bike now with mid drive and gears is a few km/h faster cruising speed than mine, I felt like I was doing a spin class trying to keep up.

Doing the rear hub bearings on the Trance. My DT Swiss drove ring tool that I’d bought for the job didn’t fit, so got Pushys to whip it out.
Now I’m back at pushys waiting around for an hour at least while they look for the spacer ring that goes under the drive ring that clearly fell out on their floor somewhere…

A fact I only discovered at home when I went to put it together…

Scratch that… it’s not meant to have one. They pulled apart a brand new wheel to check. Huh. That’s that average engineering, it jams the teeth of the drive ring against the edge of the bearing shell.
