Did my smallest ever ride haha.
Headset shat itself jumping the gutter as I crossed the road to the trails.
Guess I now know where that horrible intermittent rattling was coming from lol.

Headed home grabbed the hardtail and put in a nice 2hr night ride in around Silvan instead.

Last night I prepped a patient for surgery. I'm going to see my contact who fixes aircraft composites today for some tips on repair.

Went to my daughters school this morning as her year is doing a bike Ed course. Pumped up a lot of tyres, adjusted a few brakes and tightened a few loose headsets.

A few things happened bike wise today:
First, when riding home, my headset seized due to the bike sitting in the rain yesterday at school so I need to replace that
Next I helped a mate set up his Kona single speed while he saves up for a wide range drive train

Needs tyres, brakes and pedals swapped out, bike otherwise is good too shred when the jumps dry out
Would also like to upgrade the forks in the future

QoVAX SET–COVID-19 vaccine research program
QoVAX SET stands for the Queensland COVID-19 Vaccination Safety and Efficacy Trial.
The aim of the QoVAX SET Program is to better understand how the immune system responds to the COVID-19 vaccines, and what factors might affect that vaccine response.
The QoVAX SET Pilot Study and Pilot Booster Study is only open to Queensland residents aged 18 years and over who live in the Brisbane metropolitan area, Gold Coast or the Sunshine Coast areas.
We are limited by available pathology services but hope to expand this geographical reach in early 2022. Other QoVAX SET Program studies reaching across all of Queensland will also start in early 2022.

Got pulled over by the cops. Cruising along, phone is going off like a frog in a sock, pull it out to see what's going on and decide to pull over and just ring Mrs George.

While I'm stopped I see the Cruiser pull up a few houses down. And wait. Hang up and the second I start moving there's a hand out the window waving me down. Dammit.

"G'day mate. What's the rule about phones?"
"Not while moving."
"Did you just remember that?"
"Well, no, not really"
"Any business with the police before now?"
"Well I have a mate down in Mornington who's in the job."
"Alright, off you go. Just be careful, we don't want to be scraping you off the road."

Turns out they were just behind me when I whipped the phone out. Saved by playing it straight, I clearly look well experienced, and not arguing the point.

Clearly a slow news day in town.

The correct knee "sleeves" turned up today.

On a side note for anyone looking at dakine knee sleeves or pads. The sleeves like above are true to size according to their chart. The "same" size (XL) pads don't seem have as much stretch as they have a layer of cordura on top and if I was to buy the pads next time I would go a size up from the chart recommendation.
