Awesome rig! I was tossing up between the Scout and Smuggler when I was looking in 2018. If i was to buy a Tranny now it would be a Scout I reckon.

Funny how small 27.5 wheels look these days. I like the almost oxidised sort of red colour, bike looks great!
I like the colour too. I don’t mind the way 27.5 wheels look when matched as a pair. When MX style they look wonky AF.

This is always a conundrum for me. I love how mullet bikes ride, but the mismatched look pains me.

Wasn't a criticism! Just took me a moment when I looked at the first pic and felt like something was proportionally off..

Totally get you! It’s like when a new model of car comes out that you liked the look of. At first you can’t stand it. Then you don’t notice it. Then after a while the old model starts to look wrong.
I got a new rim for my GG a little while back. When I open the package it looked like a kids bike rim.
Agreed. I like the aluminium lines a tiny bit more than the carbon though...
The raw Alloy spire is still to my eyes the best looking Tranny.

A few budget upgrades amongst the rate rises:
Decided to go a shorter stem, thanks to @wkkie , initially wasn't sold on the orange but bought it to try a shorter stem on a budget, but its the brightest colour on the muted colours of the bike so seems to look alright now its on the bike.

Also got a couple of sets of the Flange-less Brendog Death Grips in black thanks to @pink poodle , after mistakenly ordering them in black from pushies and receiving the Galaxy Black Colour way with glitter (hopefully these two sets from the Poods will last till the end of the year)

Should be the cockpit dialed in for a while, the 5mm difference from the old stem feels a bit more direct, might be more of a placebo feel but a couple runs at Stromlo and feels a bit sharper.
