I think they mean living off the grid in the sense they don't rely on "grid" power, water etc and that as much of what they do as possible is environmentally friendly. It appears to be all about minimising environmental impact.

Rather than going off the grid and being impossible to find.
I gathered that but there's already a name for that malarky and it's sustainable living. Going 'off the grid' is something very different. This lazy, ignorant disregard for common knowledge is a cancer on todays society and when I eventually seize power these apathetic witless fools will be hunted down and shot!

I'll bet they'll wish they'd gone off the grid, then.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for finding some cheap runners? I want something decent but don't want to spend too much more than $100 if I can help it. I'd prefer to buy in store so I can have them a.s.a.p. but I'm more than open to buying online. We have a few sports shops locally, and although the Athletes Foot have been good in the past, they tend to be pretty pricey.

And, for what it's worth, they'll just be used for your everyday garden variety running/jogging.

Check out Amart All Sports if you can.
Those really big sports stores etc often have pretty decent sales.

I got a nice pair of Pumas for about $50 down from over $100 or so, last year.
Mind you my hometown doesn't have any big sports stores, but we were somewhere else and decided to pop in on the way home.

Paul's Warehouse has amazing prices for shoes - and you'll usually got two for the price of one.

What's invisible and smells like hay?
Would it be appropriate for me to go next years Halloween party as a 911 victim? If it is what would be a good fall back excluding a nurse/cop whatever.

For online variety- Zappos is quite good, just get fitted for size and style first!

And it's...... surgery. Damn :( was right though. Consult with specialist will let me know how much of my holidays I have to burn not doing anything with my left hand.
That sucks. I have/had one in my left wrist. I was about to schedule surgery to have it removed when I had a half decent crash out on the bike and noticed later that night that it was gone? 2 years later and it hasn't reared it's ugly round little head again. I know there are old wives tales of using a phone book to smash them but maybe falling off the bike isn't all bad?

Hahah unfortunately it can't wait. Impacting both work and sport now, and after pretty bad wrist pain for 3 years now, this may have been the root of the problem the whole time. MRI will tell all but fingers crossed it'll mean I can ride without pain afterward now

Judging by the smell I think "living off the grid" means not bowing down to the soap and water corporate dictators who rule all our lives...

I was told six months recovery :(. I sympathize with you, the pain can be terrible. Let me know how you go when you get the surgery done.
