Lockdowns actually increased my riding time… just not the racing side.Very nice. Hard yet enjoyable slog of a year for sure
Chilled year on the bike got me 1400km this year mostly from lockdown laps, more than I thought I'd get tbh.Decided to delete my goal for the year - goals are for in the gym and cycling is for chilling out and clearing the head.
I really couldn't give two hoots about seeing 5900 instead of 6k, and I wouldn't just do 139. The 160 for the Imperial is what would really matter to me.You know you’ll be gritting your teeth for years to come when you look back at your stats and see 5900, not 6000.
217(v)M should be pretty “gettable” over 139km too.
Maybe roll out some flat terrain recover km’s this evening to loosen the legs and tick off a few km?
After all - You’ve got all of 2022 to recover!
(Haha, easy for me to say! )
That's One Million vertical meters... Quoted for future reference.2022: 5000km and 1,000,000 will be more than ample to achieve.
Big year, well done.Goal was 4000km with 80,000 climbing

Was a mission this year. Getting, then staying fit for the TransTas.
2022: 5000km and 1000,000 will be more than ample to achieve.
Jeepers. I might just Everest daily for the first 3 months then slack off. That's One Million vertical meters... Quoted for future reference.
Cheers. That’s only ever been the goal, to get through without hating it. I know it’s still going to be a struggle, but I’ve done all I can, and can’t wait.Big year, well done.
Perfect prep for the TT, you might even enjoy it
