Ring up Garmin they do out of warranty unit replacements.
Sometimes the price is good, sometimes not. Only costs you a phone call.

After postage the unit only is not cheaper but the bundles are.
I have their 530 dirt bundle, 8 day delivery.

Need to add $28 for Aus cycling maps (they come with European maps).

Yeah definitely worth giving them a call @shiny . My Forerunner 935 watch had the start/stop button stop working out or warranty. Garmin replaced it with a refurbed one for $170 vs ~$500 for a discounted new one if I could find it at the time, or ~$800 for a 945 that I didn't need.

Just watches though? I need navigation of pre-loaded routes on rides sometimes to the Edge is necessary for that. My watch has maps but would be a PITA to route with.
