It was really cool!
The Fuzz, the support band was really tight and energetic.
But when the Suicidegirls came out the whole crowd lost it, screaming, jumping up and down. Really overexcited.
One of the girls, Nixon did this excellent ode to Hunter S. Thompson Fear & Loathing theme set. Floppy hat, aviator glasses, cigar, safari shorts, hawaiian shorts. The night featured lots of tartan mini skirts. Another girl, Regan rollerskated around. She pretended to stack it and spat fake blood at us. She had this afro wig and a "vote for Pedro" shirt as her ode to Napoleon Dynamite. Oh I don't know where to start. It wasn't exactly classical ballet, but they are funny girls.
Good music, and they played that awesome vox pop from "Married With Children" where Peggy says to Kelly:
"All it sounds like to me is blah, blah, blah I am a stupid farkin' ho".
Went home covered in whiskey, water, beer, fake blood, cream and confetti!!!
What can I say? All the music I like, a Peggy Bundy quote and over excited people! What else would you want on a Tuesday night in Perth?
before I went I thought it was going to be artsy fartsy, self indulgent...but I have spent Wednesday and today telling everyone "SG was soooooooo cool."
