Mine is that back in 1999 I embarked on the obligatory one-year working holiday visa in Oz and stopped over in Thailand with my mates in a trip that was mostly inspired by Alex Garland's novel 'The Beach'
It was all pretty life-changing stuff. I took a shitload of drugs, discovdered a great deal about SE Asia, actually learned to deal with members of the opposite sex (up till then I'd been doing a 3 year apprenticeship in the oil industry so had mostly hung around hairy-arsed welders), made shitloads of really good friends and fell in love with a chick from Leeds. After 3 months of hanging around the locations where they shot the film, I left, stopped over in Singapore for a night, watched the movie and got an automatic nostalgia trip from the soundtrack. To this day I can't hear Lonely Souls, All Saints 'Pure Shores', Moby's 'Porcelain' or Sugar Ray's 'Spinning Away' without my mind automatically casting back to that point in my life where everything was just totally and completely perfect.
Shame the movie turned out to be a bit pants...

Reminds me of my awesome four legged mate I had to put down last year after 14 years of absolute loyalty.
The dog in the vid is(in a funny way) so close to how my Kelpie looked.
