SYDNEY RIDE AROUND THE LAND MARKS
1ST SATURDAY IN FEBRUARY. SATURDAY 5TH FEBRUARY 2011 at 12 noon .
Meeting point the PUMPHOUSE pub 12 noon next to the chinese gardens, Tumbalong park DARLING HARBOUR.
Parking available to Wilson's car park $10 for the whole day, up to maybe midnight at aprox 431-433 KENT ST
Please come along it will be a great ride with the best views possible. A fun inexpensive healthy day, kind of An easy ride for all lovers of OLD SCHOOL BIKES. City circuit should take a few hours and wrap up around 5. Rest breaks on nearly every corner.Toilets along the way. Bring some lunch and some tools just in case.
We will ride up the eastern side of DARLING HARBOUR to Pyrmont bridge. Up the escalators west across PYRMONT BRIDGE back into DARLING HARBOUR past Harbourside and rest for a snack and a chat.
Continue around past Aquarium and all the resturants and pubs. Back track to Pyrmont brdge.
Up the escalator and up MARKET st to the QUEEN VICTORIA BULIDING for a rest, chat and some photo's.
Continue up MARKET ST to HYDE PARK and ST MARYS CATHEDRAL.
Down through the DOMAIN past the ART GALLERY to LADY MACQUARIES CHAIR. all down hill. An excellent view of the city. Rest, chat and beer.
Around the forshaw of the Botanical Gardens Farm cove ( may have to walk the bikes through the park ? 10 minutes ).
Arrive at the OPERA HOUSE, rest and chat.
Ride through CIRCULAR QUAY stop rest.
Through the rocks to HICKSON Road, around the forshaw under the HARBOUR BRIDGE rest and chat.
Continue along Hickson road to BANGAROO Park and back into DARLING HARBOUR.
