Endurance geometry, as opposed to race geometry on the previous one. Took me a good month (if not more) to get used to a lightly more upright riding position. What was different about your new roadie?
Looking at the numbers between the 2 bikes and their respective setups, this area is the integral factor; 60mm difference is pretty significant.100mm stem was way longer reach wise.
Specialized recommend a large for your height and I would agree.177cm. Have tried a few large frames over the years but way to stretched out in terms of the top tube length.
Yep. A mate just went through sizing a new bike from a similar situation running a long stem to make a reasonable fit. In the end new frame ran 465 reach with 50mm stem for almost the exact overall effective reach. He is riding so much better now in all conditions. Much more confident. His old bike was a 2016 sight so quite a capable trail bike but just a bit too small.Looking at the numbers between the 2 bikes and their respective setups, this area is the integral factor; 60mm difference is pretty significant.
Haha, way too old to begin the gravity hustle!!!!!!!@mtb1611 when you decide on your new large frame, shoot me your bank deets. I've got $175 hot and ready for your unwanted medium spesh.
Alternatively, I may be cheaper and a lot more fun to change riding styles. Funnily enough my phone Auto corrected riding to risking...as though it knew what I was about to suggest! Get your gravity hustle on.
That's total bullshit. You are the apple!!! Prepare to send...save all that pedalling for the road.Haha, way too old to begin the gravity hustle!!!!!!!
he’s talking about climbing, move alongThe best advice I can give on bike setup,
About what?he’s talking about climbing, move along
Me too, 175cm (regular proportion) been mediums straight outta the box since 2007 without even thinking about it.Too late, it's in the garage! Definitely the right size, I've been on mediums forever.
Were getting smaller too, I was 176cm since I was ~18, last couple of medicals/physicals they have me at 174cm.Also on mediums forever until I bought a large Spitfire with a 50mm stem I’m 178cmish
2cm compression from decades of extreme huckage to flat isn't too bad. Were getting smaller too, I was 176cm since I was ~18, last couple of medicals/physicals they have me at 174cm.
