has some good things to say
I would like to know the pros and cons for both a hardtail and Full suspension
1) Witch is better for general riding just around suburbia.

Hardtail

2) can a hard tail handle medium to rough terrain

Yes. Question is...can the rider?

3) what are the best low budget hardtails ($200-$500)

http://www.repcosport.com.au/range/bike-3121.aspx and http://www.diamondback.com.au/bikes/mtb-hardtail/bronco-26/ comes to mind

4)what are the best hardtails in general

Something that is custom made for you

5) what are the best low budget Full suspension and the best Full suspension in general

Low budget? This is an awesome BSO http://www.repcosport.com.au/range/bike-3124.aspx
In general...too much choice...something from Lenz would be nice

6) what is your opinion on what type of MTB i should be getting

I run a repco duel sexspension bi-cycle, and he's great fun over the bumps and pumps, rails like a dream.

Dude, just buy a hardtail, less maintenance, easier wheelies, more pedal efficient on flat, up hill, (in suburbia), where
you will be on hard surfaces and you can generally get a decent hardtail cheaper than an equivalently spec-ed dual suspension bike.
Have a look in the: hardtails and short travel dual suspension section of the trading area.
