Water is a must for me, up to 3 litres depending on ride.

Otherwise, just tools for the job, tube and pump, sometimes a quicklink if I remember to replenish it. Food depending on ride.

Bit of electrical tape and tape the right link for the right bike to the brake line near the levers. Two benefits is that I always have the right link for the bike and I don't have to try and determine which link is which 'cos my peepers can't read any markings on links anyways
