None, just enough so the spring don't flop aorund and sits snug.

Am I meant to run any?
Nah, that's good... a max of 2 turns after the collar meets the spring. Anymore and it puts excessive stress of the shock body and can effect the performance.

I'll just replace the shock :rolleyes:
If you find a good seal shop they will do it for you on an interest free or laybuy plan. Don't be afraid to take a risk with your finances once in awhile.

I think sometimes in life, when dealing with large sums of money, it's just easier to play it safe.

Might go get one of those loans for people with bad credit ratings... not high interest rates at all. That, or see if the local is into 20months with no repayments or interest.
