The Michelin Power Competition tyres just arrived. I can straight away feel that they will have much better grip than GP4000SII tyres, I reckon so anyway. The Michelin rubber has a tacky rubber feeling, and feels like it has some rubbery give. The GP4000sII in comparison feels less sticky, more plasticky and less natural give.
I can certainly feel how the GP4000sII rolls quick, its a harder slipperier compound that manages to feel artificial in some way. But the offside to that is less grip from the chilli compound. I personally don't like the GP4000SII tyres.
Once I've fitted and ridden the Michelin Power Competition 25mm tyres a decent distance I'll report back again.
And don't forget I will also be fitting ultra light MrTuffy tyre liners too, so that will be an interesting aspect. Never used anything like that before.
