Clutches aren't all equal?

Thanks

Just to clarify, stick torque wrench 4mm in the clutch centre, and set wrench for righthand (normal) threads, put finger on the tab, then pull the derailleur arm forward and measure the torque?
Nope, more like...
1. Set clutch lever on
2. Set torque wrench at a random low figure of about 2 Nm
3. Set torque wrench ratchet to loosen (or lefthand thread)
4. Insert torque wrench into 4mm hex slot in centre of clutch drum
5. Turn torque wrench anticlockwise
6. Torque wrench should 'click' without moving the RD cage, showing that the tension on the clutch is more than your setting
7. Increase torque wrench setting slightly and test again, and again, until it moves the RD cage without 'clicking' - and that's your current clutch torque
8. Check this value to see if its within Shimano guidelines in above diagram
9. Now if you want to change your torque, switch clutch off, adjust small nut to either increase or decrease tension, switch clutch back on and go through whole process of 1-8 again to find your new torque setting
