it's raining. i'm bored. here's an un-original idea i stole from some other web thingy.

hopefully some of you keep this thread going.

25 random things about me


1. I'm a crap vegetarian.

2. I suffer from short term memory loss.

3. I've never broken a limb (though riding has given me 4 cracked ribs, 2 broken toes, 1 broken finger and torn ligaments in my shoulder)....i've also broken my nose 3 times.

4. I cant remember my EX-wife from school (when we met 3 years after school i had no idea who she was).

5. I quit my job of 19 years because i didn't like being a boss.

6. I have obsessive compulsive disorder...example : there are 14 stairs leading up to my bedroom, i have to do it in 8 steps (if i mess it up i have to go back down and start again)....and without medication i sometimes see things in my periferal that aren't there....haha...i'm mental

7. I'm a buddhist.

8. I cant stand violence (that includes the death penalty....2 wrongs do NOT make a right).

9. I'm the youngest (and prettiest)of 5 children...i have 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

10. I was a sponsored skateboarder (when vert was still cool) for a short time after i left school.

11. My son is named after Kurt Cobain (a great loss to music).... i wanted to call him Ed but we already had a dog named Ed.

12. I love to draw and wanted to be a tattooist.

13. I love all of mother nature's critters and will fight to protect all of them.

14. I have a bulldog called Buddha, a black cat called Mr Whiskers and 2 roosters (yet to be named).

15. I never watch the news or read a newspaper (too depressing).

16. I've almost finished writing my book...it's an auto-bio called "i'm still scared of spiders".

17. I'm fitter now than i've ever been...i jog 5 times a week, do weights 4 times a week and ride whenever i can.

18. Bad grammar, spelling and punctuation annoy me.

19. I love australian films....."Mullet" is a great example.

20. My lucky number is 13 (it's tattooed on my forearm).

21. I count calories.

22. My only phobia is spiders....i've been bitten by redbacks 3 times.

23. I was a game fisherman for about 5 years....only had 1 marlin die on me (and no shark), the rest were tagged and released.

24. I cant swim.

25. I'm getting divorced.

18. I have 2 years of school to go.

19. My favorite trail is Mt Coramba.

1. I like snorkelling but I'm uneasy about fish. Also I like flying but birds freak me out.
2. I need to shower when I get up in the morning or I feel dirty all day. I dont know how people can deal with it.
3. Ive never gotten a speeding ticket. Guess I drive like a grandma.
4. It took me 24 years to get to the point where I dont care what I look like on the dance floor.
5. I like to salsa dance, but I'm very much a beginner.
6. I was born in Poland, grew up in Australia, considered myself Polish until I visited the motherland at 16. At that point it was drummed into my head that I am totally Australian (and now maybe a little, teeny, tiiiny bit American).
7. When on roadtrips as a kid, I used to imagine a ninja running outside my window, jumping over and sliding under obstacles like parked cars, houses and fences.
8. I was a bit of a nerd when I was younger (still am I guess? I work in IT after all), but I dont regret it except I could have spent more time outside.
9. Ive started to love doing things outside as I was older. Riding bikes, going camping, sailing, the beach.
10. I regret all the psychological damage I caused my siblings when we were younger. Sorry! love you guys.
11. I always looked forward to drinking absinthe and then I tried it and it was horrid. Thankfully someone was there to help me finish it. I'm not ashamed.
12. Sometimes I bite off more than I can chew. Literally and figuratively.
13. I dont want to have any regrets.
14. I want to sail around the world one day. At the very least up the east coast of Australia to queensland and spend a while bumming around the whitsundays.
15. I took sailing lessons as a kid, it was lots of fun and I liked it. Since then Ive forgotten most of it.
16. Im uneasy around the police, but Ive still gone to them for help.
17. I like the idea of hard physical labor, but I fear I'm too soft to actually follow through on it.
18. I'm usually anal about safety gear and helmets but I've ridden a motorcycle at 150 km/h without anything except a beat up helmet.
19. The older I get the more I dont know.
20. I've given myself a couple concussions (when I did fall off things, some of them moving).
21. Qualified Senior First Aider at work. Ive only had one call out ever, and I didnt even need to give CPR.
22. I've swapped engines in my old car, but the other day I couldnt figure out how to get a hubcap off whilst helping someone with a flat.
23. I love travelling. I'd like to visit every continent before I die. Dunno how I'll manage Antartica yet.
24. I want to do my own Motorcycle Diaries trip around South America.
25. I'm looking forward to the future.

seriously? Whenever i am road trippin' i imagine i am on my bike. I jump gutters, backflip onto bus shelter rooves, and 360 off the awnings of building's. It's mad fun!

I think this sounds like a really good book. I don't read all that much but from other threads of yours it seems like you have a really interesting life, and that would be a book I'd be keen to read.

2. I'm always worried about my fitness because despite the fact that I do more exercise than your average, my parents do about three times what I do. My mother is nearly 60 and ran 36 kilometers in one go one a 40 degree day.

3. I'm more stoked about the cheap gym at uni than actually going.

4. When on the bike, I feel motivated by the insults that people in cars throw at me. Strokes the ego nicely.

5+6. I don't eat meat and I work in fast food.

7. Despite being a metal and hardcore punk elitist, I still think Regurgitator is one of the best bands ever.

8. I have the worst sleeping patterns ever and attitudes to sleep.

9. I have been known to spend an entire weeks pay on rare records.
