Used SUV's ~$20K pref 7 seats

ausdb

Being who he is
I couldn't find a thread worth gravedigging

Oops I didn't mean to hit post yet, there's a draft on my PC at home still.
Here's the TLDR synopsis,
It will mainly be used as a mum's taxi but with the ability to load up and get away for some long country trips. Not sure if it is a short or long term purchase, as my wife has decided on a timeout reset and career change after a few recent life events have left her questioning working your guts out for someone else and never taking any time off.
Must be AWD, not averse to diesel. Wife says Hard no on a 4wd (dual cab, Pajero, Prado)
So far head choices are:
Outlander (I know them well as had every model since 2011 as work car's but boring as batshit)
Sorento
Santa Fe

Heart choice
Audi Q7 2011-2015 v6 (but scared of the expensive old euro driveway ornament if it breaks)

Volvo XC90? Dunno what mechanical issues might exist for these at this mileage, but you could do a lot worse.

Subaru Tribeca (7 Seater, love or hate the look)
Pajero (lots of decent ones around)
Subaru Liberty
Older Range Rovers (Mid to late 2000's)
Mitsubishi Delica (some nice imported ones around at the moment, sit on the paj driveline so easy to fix)
Might be in luck and find the 4x4 VW Van for that price.

frenchman

Eats cheese. Sells crack.
Ur pretty much after a MAV (morman assault vehicle)
In SUV guise in aus, might be able to get a shitty yank import like a Chevy etc. the Kia or Mazda xx 9 could work. A 2wd kluger can be had for 20k, but it’ll have 100km and be at least 12 years old.
Also is it for ur mum or the wife?
Go your local LDS church, they’ll give u a run down. They may doornock u in the future, but they’ll still be less hassle than if @Haakon found out u got a Ute.
And let’s be honest I’d rather join the church than drive one of those French pieces of shit
