Winter afternoon rides here are the way to go if you can swing it. I don't mind cold mornings that much but it is soooo much nicer in the afternoon.
Wet grass in the morning is another one. Ride over it and you get a free wash.

More bargain hunting, picked up a shock for the latest basket case project from fleebay. Was a bit unsure as a zero rated seller and supposedly brand new, turned out to be a dad trying to recoup some of his kids indulgences. Fortunately for me it went for less than half new.

What a roller coaster...plans for a group ride at an exotic local location rather than the usual...fall through because good friday vibes and people hadn't factored family expectations in, then back on but scaled down and still exotic, then off again, then rain...no rain...maybe rain...kind of rain...and fuck it, I'll take a risk. Solo ride at the much less exotic usual local location, and no rain to be seen. Had a pretty good afternoon.

40k gravel on the XC bike this morning.
Surprised how well I felt, as was struggling to get motivated for a proper ride thinking it was going to be unpleasant. Glad my mate dragged me out for this one.
