Heal well. You never need good elbow pads... until you needed them.I had a random call from a skate mate from up the coast that they were hitting Stromlo, thought why not. They were on ebikes but thanks to my local crew's 50th b'day present I now have a 10 shuttle pass for Stromlo so used one.
Took it easy, down the front but it chucked me off pretty hard. Drop off half way down Luge, I've pinned it about 60 times before, today my front washed out and had an OTB bodyslam.
Got some #ElbowPadRegret right now, about to get in the shower. Bruised ribs and other bits, knee pads worked. Rode out, not slow but impeded, can't let it get you.

Shit. Riding solo? Heal up, hope it’s not too bad.Did myself a whoopsies!
Stacked it into a pile of fallen trees and broke my ankle.
Can't finish the year any lower, onwards and upwards for next year lol

Faaark... that elbow is gonna sting, tender tomorrow, agony in a week... I hate gravel rashOTB bodyslam
Double Faaark, that will take a bit longer than gravel rashStacked it into a pile of fallen trees and broke my ankle.
So that's both ends now? Thanks guys,
Seeing a specialist next week, but the docs today don't seem worried about it.
Hopefully stays that way.
And yep silly me riding solo. Dragged myself back to the car, where luckily there was a couple who just arrived and helped me get the bike on.
Yep. Is it bad that I recognised one of the lady's at the hospital today. So that's both ends now?
I've done that. Had the same doctor put two stitches in my thumb from a "safety" knife incident, and four weeks later put 9 stitches in my forearm/ wrist when I managed to ride into the thin edge of a road sign.Yep. Is it bad that I recognised one of the lady's at the hospital today.
Nearly drew the Leafy Seadragon doing the Sturt gorge loop, first complete lap ? It has some really nice sections on it.This is what I dragged my bike all the way over here for! Good day out on many trails I've never ridden before.
Yep, glad I went down de Rose and up Lomandra though. Lomandra was really nice until the climb out at the end. Biggest problem I had was the long grass making it hard to see around the curves. Couldn't properly send it like I know Evie can in case there was a root, rock or step.Nearly drew the Leafy Seadragon doing the Sturt gorge loop, first complete lap ? Fucking hell dude! Didn't you just get over the broken shoulder set backs? Speedy recovery @Chriso_29er that is a real bummer.Did myself a whoopsies!

What is that plant mate, it looks like a Cardoon? Then backed it up by driving Man-Child and Little Sender to the top of the hill. Little Sender received a Go-Chipro and was stoked to use it. Man-Child on the other hand has vowed to only ever ride his bike on flat tarmac.

I'm super carful solo riding these days after a massive high speed OTB at Buller a few years back - if id really hurt myself it would have been a long wait for help given how far out I was... I was glad to have been at Stromlo when I did really hurt myself and help was there before I'd even worked out how to breathe again and gotten up off the ground. Thanks guys,

Clockwise is the only way to ride it IMO, I have probably ridden it up to 100 times (not too many times in the last few years), used to do it 3 times a week.Yep, glad I went down de Rose and up Lomandra though.
You are definitely solo in you car-ful preferences.I'm super carful solo
