Picked her up this morning, havn't ridden off road yet, but damn i love it... super light and feels solid!

11.85kg for last years team bike. According to this test on cycling news.

Basically the same bike for 08.

na its a fair bit lighter than the last one

stock, its quoted at 10.8
a mates, same bike but with full XT, not sram, and tubes. is 11.4

Don't believe a quoted weight.

All this aside they are a nice ride, just keep an eye on the bearings in the little dog bone link behind the BB, Mongoose's are notorious for flogging them out, especially in muddy or damp conditions. And the kit is not cheap either.

Absolutely love the cannaan,what a bike,you never see many around,great choice of bike,hope it gives many hours of mountain bike madness!:)

Took the Mongoose Canaan Team for a test ride today. A good 3 hours of hard climbing and technical downhill. A most impressive xc bike. Climbs like a goat and soaks up the rough stuff on the down. Nice bike.
