Got this on Tuesday. I've ridden it about 50km this weekend. It seems to climb better than my Stumpy FSR and I haven't turned the pro pedal on. And seems to like more speed on the downhills.

Not convinced on the High Rollers which seem to slip a little on damp rocks but otherwise very impressed.

All stock except the pedals (and TALAS is an option)

Rear shock - RP23
Front shock/fork - TALAS 36

No secret. The Bike Shed Mortdale has them advertised in the current AMB at $4999 with Float 36. TALAS adds $700. For those prices I think it's great value. RRP from the importer is somewhat more.

Other bikes I considered were the Heckler, Knolly Endorphin, Pivot Firebird etc. Most of these would cost a lot more.

Wow thats one awesome price for the amount of bike you get.

Looks amazing though. Liked the look of the white ones when I first saw them, but this orange colour with the gold/yellow link looks awesome.

I would say something to compete with a Specialized Enduro? In that kind of league, or beyond?

Damn nice frames the new Coverts.

I wouldn't be surprised if the next one to get an update or get dropped is the Preston FR. It needs an update IMO. Not a fan of the linkage setup and shock location.
