'Top-up' Travel Insurance for Downhill MTB Trip to French Alps

Hey all,

I'll be travelling to the French Alps (Morzine) in July for a downhill MTB trip. One of the requirements of the accommodation we're staying at is that we all have insurance that covers accidents (heli-lifts off the mountain etc). Checking my regular annual insurance shows that it specifically excludes downhill mtb.

All the other guys I'm travelling with are UK resident, I'm Australian resident. They are using these people for travel insurance:

I'm looking for a similar policy for Australian residents. Any ideas?

Hi Simon
I'm doing the megavalanche this year and was going to use these guys as they also cover for racing.https://velosure.com.au
I haven't got round to checking other firms yet but her in doors regular insurance wasn't much cheaper than the race insurance. Think it was $279 for five weeks U.K,France. Hope that helps
