hey i need help, i am doing a science assingment and i am testing which tyre is best for road comditions out of larsen tt and DH minion, oblivously the larsen tt is better i was just wondering why it would be better then the DH minion as i need to explain and dont know how??? i know that the larsen has less rolling resistance, making it quicker but is there anything else

thanks ben

A lot higher contact area from the long, low ramped knobs. Ramped knobs rather than straight ones. 62a rubber (depends on series, but we'll use that as an example) compared to 40a.

The rotational mass and the amount of drag caused by the larger knobs contacting a larger road surface on the minion then a larsen is what slows you down.

the larsens lower weight, smaller profile knobs and ramping helps it roll with less resistance compared to a minion which is heavier, (most cases) softer and has more aggressive, bigger knobs.
