syntace F99 recall update

Theres probably a few xc/road riders on here with F99 stems, so this may apply.
All stems up to 35 05 need to be replaced

Unfortunately all of my bikes have stems that are in the recall

D'oh, me too....I've had enough, I'm giving up on weenie stuff....

gah! not again, i'm in by 5 weeks. here goes sawing another stem in half. although it is an opportunity to get another cheap torque wrench.

you guys get your replacements yet ? ive been waiting a while now

I couldn't be bothered with the hassle, I didn't pay for the stem in the first place so I just replaced it with a Ritchey WCS.

One word people - Thomson.....

...although Ritchey WCS is pretty nice but maybe a bit flexy? - hey Dunk you notice any flex in your Ritchey stem? On my fixie I can get about 1/2" at the ends of the handlebars, it's a little disconcerting........

I haven't noticed much flex yet, but I haven't done any hards sprints on it yet, been sick, moving house etc etc. I do notice it's not quite as stiff as the FSA OS115/Modolo Kaly combination on my other bike. But on this bike I'm after a bit of give in the bar and stem as the frame is stiff stiff stiff.
