My rig built up from scratch...

Frame: 2007 Specialized P1.

Fork: Rockshox Pike 454 Dual Air U-Turn.

Headset: Chrome Diatech (C2?) Sealed. [not pictured]

Crankset: Polished Truvativ Luftalarm; 25t sprocket; 1/3 bashplate.

Chain: KMC Half-link.

Pedals: Specialized Lo-Profile Magnesium Sealed.

Wheelset: Singletracks; DT Onyx Hubs; DT Spokes and nipples.

Brakeset:
Odyssey Monolever & Linear Slick; Avid BB5 Caliper & Juicy5 Rotor.

Cockpit: Truvativ Holzfeller Bar & Stem; Odyssey L.E. Banton grips.



yo. what do you think? she handles beautifully and rides like a dream...
havnt got a weight as of yet... should be coming soon though.
Primarily a street machine, but gets her fair share or park and dirt.

I seriously doubt it. I'd say 13-14kg. Who cares anyway, looks like a fun rig. Specialized have the colourways dialled with the steel P-bikes.

yeah, the P chromo frames are a little on the heavy side in comparison to other chromo frames...
but being specialized i dont have to worry about strength, and the geometry is just soooo sweet.

i'll get an official weight on her this week.

the cranks are all about form...

the smaller disc and bashring makes it easier to sprocket grind and stall, because it brings the BB closer to the object and makes it more stable.
plus, there is less leverage on a smaller sprocket when it hits, so it is much less likely to bend or warp.

...despite the wear on the chain and sprockets is massive. :D


using the truvativ luftalarms just makes things easy because i can still use ISIS bottom brackets and self-extracting crank bolts.

as i said, the whole setup is street orientated; so there is a reason why each part was selected.
