Spoke Length

G'day all. a quick question on spokes n rims.

1)I'm planning on putting some MTX (31 or 33? hard decision) on my apollo ascent and was wondering if I need new spokes? i think i probably do as the hub flange to eyelet difference may be different?

2) if it so happens that i do need new spokes exactly how do i work out what size i need?

The wheels on the bike consist of Alex DC-19 mtb rims and KT Quando hubs.

I was given the attached, which I've found helpful.

I added the "rim" worksheet ... which is a little old.

Sorry to hijack your thread ... can those in the know answer this.

Is spoke length within mm's critical/very important/or just nice.

If I calculate a 262 and a 265 for drive/non drive sides ...will I be ok getting a pack of 264s ?? and keeping an eye on my dishing ?

I didn't want to buy two packs of 36 spokes if I could get away with just one.

Thanks in advance
