"Southstar received official notice Friday afternoon from Rotorua Lakes Council that we have been unsuccessful in the closed two-company process RLC have run on behalf of forest landowners CNI Holdings Ltd to continue operating both the public shuttle service and the Landrover charter service past 1 December 2019. We are hugely disappointed with this outcome after 13 years of developing the service.

For riders who have purchased current multi-uplift passes, please use up your pass prior to 1 Dec. Shuttles are operating daily. .
If you've purchased a 16 or 50 uplift pass over the last 4 weeks (since Southstar were advised of this process) the shuttle driver would have explained that there was the possibility of not being able to use it past 1 Dec. .
As per our T&C's all passes are non-refundable.
Another company will continue to provide a shuttle service."
