are the silvan tracks any good? what sort of riding is it there?

Its XC riding only and if you dont like hills dont bother, that said its awsome xc riding

there were fun dh sections a couple of years ago, haven't been there since.

Just try to avoiding skidding and riding there when its real wet and they'll remain good for years. The local crew put a lot of time and effort into maintaining the trails so a bit of responsibility will go a long way.
