Should I be worried with RS U-Turns?

G'day, Im relatively new here, so firstly, hello everyone...

I remember reading a while ago somewhere that changing your forks to a different length you can stress your frame in places where it shouldnt be stressed (because you change the head angle, etc).

My bike has RS Recon U-Turns (85-135mm), so I was wondering if my bike would be stressed in places it shouldnt when I change the length? Given these are the forks that came from the factory, Id hope not. Its just a thought I had the other day and I thought I should ask.

Welcome mate!

No worries there. Even on a standard XC frame, 130mm is quite acceptable.
For just toodling around the streets or out on your favourite tracks, lower travel settings are the way to go in that its a little more efficent pedaling wise. But for decents etc, thats when you really want the extra squish. Its why the U-turn function is so handy.

Its when you start putting 150mm and 180mm forks on a bike that initially had 100mm that trouble starts to occur.

Good luck!
