Scalene injury

Hi Guys,

I have had a pain in my neck for a number of months now, I went to a Dr, had some x rays, received a referral to a sports physician, who stated that I have a muscle imbalance and my neck is to straight i.e. it does not have that nice 's' bend in it. He advised me to go to the physio, the physo reckons my scalene muscles are supper tight. When I ride for a while normally over two hours, I pull up sore the next day, I have stopped going to th egym and swimming as these activities were aggravating my neck.I also spend a lot of time at the computer studying and working.

Has anyone had similar injuries? any advice?

I have had a bike fit, do the physio exercises like clockwork, use heat, stretch regularly.

Thanks.

Have a look at or have someone look at your posture while working at the desk. Chances are that's a big contributor to your problem.

That "How to Move like a Supple Leopard" book is bloody awesome.

Thanks guys, I have a copy of the 'supple leopard' book, however I have lent it to some one at work and am on leave until early November.
